As the 2013 Legislative Session kicks into full gear heading into the February Forecast, I believe it is important to reach out to constituents to hear their thoughts on important legislative issues. Town hall meetings, phone conversations and emails with constituents are my main method of connecting. I would like to add another means of communication to the mix. I am inviting residents of Senate District 41 (which includes the cities of Columbia Heights, Fridley, Hilltop, New Brighton, St. Anthony Village and parts of Spring Lake Park) to take part in a survey I recently added to my Senate website.
The survey covers a wide range of issues we have been or will be discussing this session. Your input is very valuable. As I consider the direction I should take my own legislation or how to vote on bills in committee or the floor, I look to input from constituents for some guidance.
Please take this opportunity to get involved in the political process. To take part in the survey, visit my Senate page at http://bit.ly/XLeXRU. There you will see a link titled “Click Here for My Survey.” If you would like to contact me at my office call (651) 296-4334 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
