Conference Committee called to discuss Bonding Bill

ST. PAUL, Minn – The Senate Capital Investment Committee is calling a Conference Committee with the House of Representatives to work out details of a Bonding Bill. The Senate will be working off a Bonding Bill it passed in May of 2015; however the committee will likely consider delete-all amendments that include portions of the current House, Senate and Governor’s bonding proposals. Sen. LeRoy Stumpf (DFL-Plummer) will be the Senate Chair of the committee, Senate members named to the committee include Sen. Katie Sieben (DFL-Cottage Grove), Sen. Jeff Hayden (DFL-Minneapolis), Sen. David Tomassoni (DFL-Chisholm), and Sen. Dave Senjem (R-Rochester).

“I’m looking forward to sitting down publicly with House Bonding Chair Rep. Torkelson to begin these important negotiations. I believe there are many areas of agreement between us, and I look forward to finding common ground in order to help create jobs and get critical projects across the state the funding they need,” said Sen. Stumpf.
