Matt Klein, M.D. sworn in as Minnesota State Senator

ST. PAUL, Minn – Senator Matt Klein, M.D. (DFL-Mendota Heights) was sworn in on Tuesday as the State Senator representing Senate District 52. Sen. Klein, the only medical doctor in the DFL Caucus, was one of nine first-term DFL senators attending their first swearing-in ceremony in the newly renovated State Capitol.

“I am excited and humbled to follow Sen. Jim Metzen in representing District 52 in the Minnesota Senate. I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle in addressing the many important issues that face our state. I am eager to get to work and be a voice for the people of my district,” said Sen. Klein.

Matt Klein represents Senate District 52 which includes the area spanning parts of Eagan, Inver Grove Heights, Lilydale, the city of Mendota, Mendota Heights, South St. Paul, Sunfish Lake, and West St. Paul.
