Hayden to join National Action Network event

St. Paul Minn.—Sen. Jeff Hayden (DFL-Minneapolis) will attend an in-district event Wednesday January 25, 2017 at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church from noon to 2 p.m. featuring National Action Network President and Founder Rev. Al Sharpton and Pastor Billy G. Russell, President of Minnesota State Baptist Convention. The Community Leadership Luncheon will also include panelists Executive Director of Law Enforcement Action Partnership Major Neill Franklin (retired), former President of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) and Petersburg Police Chief John I. Dixon III, former Florida Congressman Kendrick Meek, and Senior Drug Policy Manager at Drug Policy Alliance Art Way. The panel will take up the topic of decriminalizing the Black community and the banning of menthol cigarettes.
