Bakk: Compromise Can Still Be Achieved at Minnesota Legislature

St. Paul, Minn.—Senate DFL Caucus Leader Tom Bakk (DFL-Cook) has released the following statement expressing his appreciation for Speaker Kurt Daudt’s compromise to remove language that threatened the viability of the bonding bill.

“I thank my colleague Speaker Daudt on behalf of myself and DFL Senators for agreeing to remove problematic language from the bonding bill. This outcome is what is best for all of Minnesota and I am pleased we will have had the opportunity pass an important bill during this special session. This bonding bill will put thousands of Minnesotans to work, on projects all across our state.” Bakk said.

The bonding bill passed the Minnesota Senate this evening by a vote of 60-2.
