Senator Torres Ray, members of Minnesota Senate urge Congress to address DACA in negotiations

ST. PAUL, Minn – Senator Patricia Torres Ray (DFL-Minneapolis) and members of the Minnesota Senate sent a letter urging members of the Minnesota congressional delegation to come to a solution on DACA while they negotiate the re-opening of the federal government.

“As we observe the negotiations taking place in Washington, we are dismayed to see that the lives of these children have been used as a political pawn to negotiate a deal. This is not fair to the DACA recipients, who have called this country home most of their lives. We ask that you work together to come to a solution for these young people as you move towards a deal that reopens the government and offers a permanent answer for DACA recipients.”
