Senator Erik Simonson Welcomes Constituents to Annual “Duluth and St. Louis County at the Capitol” Gathering

St. Paul, Minn. – Senator Erik Simonson (DFL-Duluth) today welcomed constituents to St. Paul for the annual “Duluth and St. Louis County at the Capitol” gathering. According to the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce, the two-day event is the “most effective regional citizen lobbying event at the State Capitol, which attracts over 500 people from Northeastern Minnesota.”

“Every year, my fellow Duluthians set a remarkable example of how to engage state lawmakers in a way that is civil, respectful and fun,” said Sen. Simonson. “It is my pleasure to welcome everyone to the Capitol. Spending several days away from your home and your family isn’t easy. It speaks volumes about how much people in northeastern Minnesota care about what’s happening at the Legislature.”

During the gathering, visitors will meet face-to-face with state lawmakers, hold a reception with food and beverage vendors from the region, and participate in a breakfast to discuss legislative priorities.

Erik Simonson represents District 7 in northeastern Minnesota.
