Senator Matt Klein to Participate in “March for Our Lives” in Washington, D.C. Alongside Henry Sibley High School Students

St. Paul, Minn. – Senator Matt Klein (DFL-Mendota Heights) today announced that he is traveling to Washington, D.C. to participate in the “March for Our Lives” on March 24 alongside students from Henry Sibley High School. A send-off is planned for Thursday, March 22 at 5 p.m. at Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church in Saint Paul for students traveling to Washington, D.C. by bus.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join amazing and courageous young adults as they advocate for their safety at the March for Our Lives,” said Sen. Klein. “Students are leading the nation on this issue, and us adults need to listen to what they are saying. I am excited to share what I witness and learn in DC with my colleagues back here in Saint Paul.”

Sen. Klein served on the ISD 197 school board from 2013-2016 and his kids attend Henry Sibley High School. While in Washington, D.C., he and student leaders will participate in the march, meet with members of Minnesota’s congressional delegation, and exchange ideas on how to create action to prevent gun violence in schools and across the country.
