Today, Governor Tim Walz issued two executive orders that would ensure critical services delivered by the Minnesota Department of Human Services remain available to Minnesotans amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Senate DFL Leader Susan Kent and Assistant Minority Leader Jeff Hayden released the following response.
In an effort to further mitigate the spread of COVID-19, Governor Tim Walz has ordered the temporary closure of Minnesota restaurants and bars to dine-in customers as well as the closure of other places of public gatherings through an executive order. Senator Hayden offered the following response.

Minnesota Management and Budget today released the February budget forecast, estimating a $1.53 billion budgetary balance.
