Bakk Responds to Walz State of the State Address

SAINT PAUL, Minn. — Senate DFL Leader Tom Bakk, DFL-Cook, released the following statement in response to Governor Tim Walz’s first State of the State Address.

“Governor Walz hit it out of the park tonight. He made it crystal clear he wants to work together with DFLers and Republicans on the things we all agree on. Most Minnesotans want their friends and neighbors to have good schools, access to health care, safe roads, and the state to be a stronger partner with our communities and local governments. The governor’s speech tonight made it clear he’s willing to work together to get those things done.

“The governor reached out to the legislature tonight with a pretty strong olive branch and I’m looking forward to working with the Republicans in the Senate to deliver on the governor’s budget priorities for our state.”
