Bakk statement on the release of Dayton’s supplemental budget recommendations

Bakk PortraitSt. PAUL, Minn. – Senate Majority Leader Tom Bakk (DFL-Cook) released the following statement on Gov. Mark Dayton’s supplemental budget recommendations, which were unveiled today.

“The DFL leadership of the past two years set Minnesota on firm financial footing, producing a $1.86 billion surplus, this leadership is what has made Gov. Dayton’s supplemental budget recommendations possible. The Senate DFL shares many of the priorities put forward by the Governor today,” Bakk said. “I continue to work with the Senate Committee Chairs to develop Senate budget targets that will allow us to invest in Minnesota, maintain our structural stability, and keep our state prospering.”
