SAINT PAUL, Minn.— Minnesota Management and Budget presented the financial future of Minnesota today with a budget and economic forecast projecting a positive balance of $641 million for the FY 2020-21 biennium.
In response, Senator Ann Rest, DFL-New Hope, released the following statement:
“The economic and budget outlook may have improved since last spring, but we should be cautious as there is still a lot of uncertainty with the pandemic continuation and economic challenges that we are facing. This positive balance will, however, create in the short-term a chance for the Legislature to release a relief package for businesses affected in the latest shutdown due to the coronavirus.”
