Closing of Water Gremlin Necessary says Senator Isaacson

St. Paul, Minn. Earlier today action was taken by the Minnesota Department of Health and the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry to shut down operations of Water Gremlin immediately. Senator Jason Isaacson (DFL-Shoreview) applauded the state’s actions.

“Today’s action by the state to close Water Gremlin is a necessary decision that puts the wellbeing of our kids and our community first,” said Senator Isaacson. “I want to commend the state agencies in making this short-term closure happen, but a permanent shutdown may be the only long-term solution. Despite repeated efforts Water Gremlin has failed to make the changes necessary to put safety first, leaving the state with no option but to shut them down. Until they address the long list of issues that put our community at risk, they should remain closed.”
