Senator Ann H. Rest (DFL – New Hope) is encouraging constituents to weigh in on important issues facing the Minnesota State Legislature. Sen. Rest recently created a survey for constituents on her website at www.senate.mn/senatorrest (click “In Touch with Senator Rest”) to give residents in Crystal, Golden Valley, New Hope, Plymouth and Robbinsdale an opportunity to voice their opinions on some of this year’s important topics.
“This survey gives constituents another way to reach out to their elected officials,” said Sen. Rest. “It is important for legislators to hear from the people they represent, but not everyone can make it to the Capital to express their thoughts. I encourage everyone in the district to take a couple of minutes on the website and let me know what they think.”
The survey includes questions on capital bonding, nuclear power, Minnesota Vikings stadium, college debt and ways to resolve the state’s $6 billion budget deficit. Paper copies of the survey are also available by calling Sen. Rest’s office at 651-296-2889 and will be downloadable on the website. Copies will also be available at the District 45 Town Meeting on February 26, New Hope City Hall, 9:30 to 11am.
