State Senator Katie Sieben will hold a town hall meeting in Cottage Grove on Friday, May 13th at 6 pm at the Cottage Grove City Hall to discuss issues being addressed this Legislative Session.
“We are at a critical moment in our state’s history,” Sen. Sieben said. “Decisions made this session will have lasting effects on our state. I hope to have an open discussion with constituents on their expectations for this year’s budget.”
Town hall meetings give residents an opportunity to meet their local legislators and discuss important state issues being discussed at the Capitol. All are invited to attend and join the discussion.
“When facing a budget deficit of this magnitude, the Legislature needs to identify and protect the state’s priorities,” said Sen. Sieben. “We have now seen the Republican’s budget proposals as well as several controversial policy issues. I hope to meet with the people of District 57 to hear their opinions on the direction of the current budget proposal.”
