Local Projects included in Governor’s Bonding Proposal

SAINT PAUL, Minn. — Today Governor Tim Walz announced the final piece of his bonding bill proposal, which includes funding for the Cottage Grove Ravine Regional Park Lower Landing, the St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park Boat Launch, and street light and storm sewer replacement in South St. Paul, in advance of planned improvements to Trunk Highway 156 or Concord Street. Senator Karla Bigham (DFL-Cottage Grove) applauded the Governor’s inclusion of important projects for Washington County and South St. Paul.

“I am thankful to Governor Walz that these important local projects are included in his recommendations,” said Senator Bigham.  “These are projects that will create jobs, improve the quality of life in our community, and address important infrastructure needs in our area. I look forward to working with him and my legislative colleagues on a bill that includes these recommendations and other local projects.”

Together, the proposal includes approximately $4.86 million in funding for these local projects.
