Following a busy summer that included more than 40 visits to local school boards, city councils, county commissions, and soil and water conservation district boards throughout southeastern Minnesota, Sen. Matt Schmit is continuing his efforts to stay in touch with constituents through a series of mobile office hours held across the district.
The “Mondays with Matt,” mobile office has resumed a schedule of stops throughout southeastern Minnesota including visits to Red Wing and Zumbrota on Monday, Sept. 28. Rather than a town hall format that relies upon group discussions, the mobile office intends to promote individual conversations during which residents can share concerns, ask specific questions, or seek constituent service assistance from Sen. Schmit and his office.
“We spend a lot of time attending meetings throughout our district or tending to constituent concerns from St. Paul, but the mobile office gives folks a chance to stop by and share their thoughts or seek assistance in person, no appointment necessary,” Sen. Schmit said. “This was a great success the last two years and I really look forward to our schedule this fall.”
“Mondays with Matt,” will continue on Sept. 28 at the following locations:
- 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.: Caribou Coffee, 726 Main Street, Red Wing
- 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.: The Coffee Mill, 256 S Main Street, Zumbrota
