Pork plant outbreak triggers another factory-wide closure

A third JBS plant has been forced to close indefinitely after a COVID-19 outbreak, this time in Worthington, Minnesota. The plant will continue to pay its employees during the closure, but the indefinite closure spikes anxieties for those who are unsure about how long the closure will last and how long the pandemic in general will continue to impact our economy and our workers. The plant is demonstrating its commitment to workers by acting early and aggressively against the virus to prevent further spread of the virus amongst the workers at the plant.

Minnesota businesses are committed to keeping their workers safe and healthy both physically and financially during this pandemic, and Senate DFLers are committed to assisting those businesses in achieving this goal.
