Senate DFL Leader Susan Kent on Lack of Senate Republican Transparency Amid COVID-19 Outbreak

After it was made public that Republican Senators and Senate Republican staff members were instructed to stay home due to several of their staff and members having tested positive for COVID-19, Senator Susan Kent released the following statement:

“It is outrageous and completely unacceptable that Senate DFLers were not notified of the recent COVID-19 outbreak among Senate Republicans prior to Thursday’s floor session. This lack of transparency is a blatant disregard for the health and safety of others: our DFL and non-partisan staff, members, and the communities we go home to,” said Senate DFL Leader Susan Kent. “It shouldn’t be up to one party to decide the health and safety of others and I am extremely disappointed in the Senate Republican majority’s failure to lead by example as Minnesotans across the state are coming together to stop the spread of this virus.”
