Senator Bigham to refuse per diem during Special Session

SAINT PAUL, Minn. — With an upcoming special session needed to finish a 2-year state budget, Senator Karla Bigham (DFL-Cottage Grove), announced her plan to refuse per diem pay for work during the special session.

“I will not be taking per diem or mileage during the special session. We still have work to do,” said Senator Bigham. “Even with a divided legislature, Minnesotans expected us to come together, find compromise, and get our work done and create a state budget on time.”
