Senator Bonoff Urges Governor Dayton to Call Special Session

Time is of the essence for critical public works needs across the state

St. Paul, Minn – While legislative leaders and Governor Dayton were unable to agree upon the framework for a special session, dozens of critical projects across Minnesota will fail to move forward. Today, Senator Terri Bonoff (DFL-Minnetonka) sent a letter to Governor Dayton and legislative leaders urging him to call a special session to move them forward.

“I ask Governor Dayton to call a special session, and urge my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to come together to pass a bonding bill that can fully fund critical projects like the improvements for Highway 12 and a tax bill that will help families, students and small businesses. I also ask that the communities that support SWLRT are given the opportunity to provide a local option that can see this project move forward,” said Sen. Bonoff.
