St. Paul, Minn. – Senator Chuck Wiger (DFL – Maplewood) on Tuesday, June 5 received the Early Childhood Champion Award from the Start Early Funders Coalition. The organization advances public policy and community support for affordable, accessible, high quality care and education in Minnesota so that all children have a strong and healthy start and are prepared to contribute to our state’s vitality.
“The Start Early coalition provides invaluable statewide leadership on early childhood issues,” said Sen. Wiger, who received the award at the 12th annual Nancy Latimer Convening on Children and Youth. “I am grateful for the coalition’s leadership and will continue to be a strong partner for preparing the littlest Minnesotans to reach their full potential.”
