Senator Chuck Wiger Urges Action on Insulin

St. Paul, Minn. – On Tuesday, Governor Tim Walz called on the House and Senate to convene a conference committee to finalize details and put forth a proposal to address the high cost of insulin facing Minnesota families. In response, Senator Chuck Wiger (DFL-Maplewood) released the following statement:

“Too many lives have been lost due to the immorally high cost of insulin and other barriers to this life-saving medication, and it is time for the state to take action,” said Senator Wiger. “I strongly support Gov. Walz’s call for legislative leaders from both parties to negotiate an insulin affordability plan as soon as possible. With this plan, we could get it passed in a special session and enacted into law. People’s lives depend on this!”
