Senator Greg Clausen responds to Gov. Walz Higher Education Bonding Recommendations

St. Paul, Minn.—As the minority lead on the Senate Higher Education Committee, Senator Greg Clausen (DFL-Apple Valley) released the following statement in response to Gov. Walz’s bonding recommendations for higher education.

“I am pleased the governor is recommending $448 million in higher education investments in the 2020 bonding bill to improve our campuses, maintain existing buildings and expand opportunities at Minnesota’s higher education institutions,” Clausen said. “Asset preservation is necessary to keep our facilities safe and reliable. It is our responsibility to take care of our state facilities now to avoid higher borrowing costs in the future.”
