ST. PAUL, Minn – In recognition of his long service in support of career and technical education in Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan schools and in the legislature, State Senator Greg Clausen (DFL-Rosemount) will be presented with the Minnesota Association of Career and Technical Administrators (MACTA) Partner Award on October 6.
“It is an honor to receive this award. Career and technical education is one of the key resource for giving students the skills and training they need for a good education and a well-paying job. As our economy changes, more and more careers will require a technical background, and Minnesota must be a leader in adapting to these needs. I look forward to continue supporting career and technical education in the legislature,” said Sen. Clausen.
Senator Clausen was cited particularly for his support of SF 1782 which established the Career and Technical Educator Licensure Task Force which included representation from the MACTA organization and the Minnesota Association for Career and Technical Education (MnACTE).
