St. Paul, Minn. – Earlier today, Governor Tim Walz unveiled his budget proposal. In response Senator Jim Carlson (DFL-Eagan) released the following statement:
“This proposal takes the right steps on investing in our state’s infrastructure and transit needs and prioritizes what all Minnesotans told us they value in making sure our students get a good education and that people have access to affordable health care options.
Until we receive the updated February budget forecast, we will not know exactly how much new money is available. However, I believe today’s proposal offers an aspirational path to the areas that we must support. The Governor’s budget proposal is a step in the right direction in making smart investments in Minnesota’s physical and human infrastructure.”
