Senator Karla Bigham to Serve on Clean Water Council

St. Paul, Minn. –  Today, Senator Karla Bigham was recommended for appointment to the Clean Water Council as the Senate DFL Caucus member. Upon appointment Senator Bigham will be one of 17 members of the Council which will help advise the Legislature and the Governor in administration and implementation of the Clean Water Legacy Act.

“It’s an honor serve on this committee. I look forward to sharing my experience handling East Metro water issues with the council and I’m also grateful for the opportunity to help guide policy and budget decisions that will protect Minnesota’s water,” said Senator Bigham.

The Clean Water Council was created through the Clean Water Legacy Act (Minn. Stat. Ch 114D) which was signed into law June 2, 2006. For more information about the Clean Water Council:
