Senator Schmit to Host Town Hall Meeting in Red Wing

(Saint Paul, MN) – Senator Matt Schmit plans to continue his town hall meeting tour with a stop in Red Wing on Saturday, March 14. As with previous town hall meetings, Sen. Schmit anticipates public conversation to focus on the 2015 legislative session, with particular attention devoted to the state budget, transportation funding, education, health care, and economic competitiveness, as well as other issues of local and statewide concern.
“Staying connected to those I work so hard to represent is the most important – and enjoyable – part of the job,” Sen. Schmit said. “Feedback I receive during our town hall meetings helps guide my legislative priorities – and I always do my best to give folks an accurate picture of what’s happening at the Capitol.”
The meeting will be held on March 14, at 9:00am in the Red Wing City Hall Council Chambers.

The Red Wing town hall meeting marks Schmit’s ninth such meeting of the 2015 legislative session, with previous stops in Cannon Falls, Kenyon, Lake City, Plainview, St Charles, Wabasha, Winona, and Zumbrota.

For more information on town hall meetings or any other legislative concerns, Sen. Schmit can be reached via email at or by calling his office at 651-296-4264.
