Sen. Hoffman named Legislator of the Year by Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association (MPPOA)
Citing his dedication to the safety of Minnesota police officers and other emergency personnel, the MPPOA honored Sen. John Hoffman (DFL-Champlin) this week with its 2016 Legislator of the Year award.
Senator Kathy Sheran was presented the 2015 Children’s Health Hero Award from Bob Bonar, the CEO of Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. The award recognizes Sen. Sheran’s work and advocacy on behalf of children over her three terms in the Minnesota Senate. Also joining in the presentation was Kelly Wolfe, Public Policy Director for Children’s Hospitals.
he Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) awarded Sen. John Hoffman (DFL-Champlin) on Tuesday as one of its “Legislators of the Year” for 2015. According to MSBA, Sen. Hoffman was selected for the award in part due to his extensive work to make sure all schools in Minnesota are equitably funded. Hoffman says it’s an honor to be recognized.
