United Black Legislative Caucus to Host Event Honoring Black History Month

ST. PAUL, MN – On Tuesday, February 26 the United Black Legislative Caucus will host a screening of the film The Rape of Recy Taylor at the Minnesota History Center. After the film, the Caucus will host a moderated discussion about Recy Taylor’s powerful story and the intersections of sexual assault, race and racism, and injustice that are still prevalent today.

ST. PAUL, MN – Senator Bobby Joe Champion (DFL- Minneapolis) invites the press to attend two important events to celebrate Black History Month. The first event is a skype meeting between student scholars and NASA Astronaut Victor Glover at Minneapolis’ Best Academy. The second event is a private screening of Hidden Figures at Regal Cinemas Brooklyn Center Stadium with special guest, Alicia Robinson, also from NASA.
