Local health care experts to join Sen. Tony Lourey for health care round table discussion

St. Paul, Minn.—Local health care experts, including United Hospital District CEO Rick Ash will join Sen. Tony Lourey (DFL-Kerrick) for a health care round table Monday afternoon. The discussion will begin at 2 p.m. in the Faribault County Ag Center conference room and focus on the need to make serious reforms to Minnesota’s health care systems in order to make health care and accessible, affordable, and high quality for all.

This conversation is part of a statewide tour Sen. Tony Lourey kicked off on Monday September 26. The Health Care Round Table tour will visit 10 cities throughout the fall. Each event will feature Sen. Tony Lourey and regional health care leaders in a free-form discussion of their views and experiences of the health care in Minnesota.

Sen. Tony Lourey is the former chair of the Health and Human Services Finance Committee in the Minnesota Senate. He currently serves as Ranking Member of the Health and Human Services Policy and Finance Committee in the Minnesota Senate.

The round table will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday October 16 in room 2 of the Lyon County Administration Building. The discussion will center around the long-term needs and necessary reforms for health care system in Minnesota.
