The Senate Transportation and Public Safety Committee toured Southern Minnesota Friday, to see and hear firsthand about the state’s transportation system. The Committee made stops in Albert Lea, Geneva, Wanamingo, and Cannon Falls to tour projects, hear presentations, and take public testimony from people who depend on the transportation network every day.
The tour also allowed the Committee to see ongoing transportation projects in Albert Lea, Geneva, Wanamingo and Cannon Falls. The stops included tours of the street revitalization projects, bridge replacement, and a presentation on the need for investment in regional projects, like Highway 52 and County Road 57.
