SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Management and Budget Office released the February Budget Forecast Monday, projecting a $17.5 billion budget surplus.
In response, Assistant DFL Leader Senator Liz Boldon (DFL-Rochester) released the following statement:
“This forecast shows that Minnesota’s economy is strong, but we know it’s not the full picture. Many Minnesotans are struggling when it comes to paying for childcare, for housing, or prescription drugs. That’s why we must make bold investments to lower costs, provide stability, and ensure Minnesotans are able to afford their lives. I look forward to working with my colleagues in the next few weeks and months to passing a budget that delivers on these needs.”
