ST. PAUL, Minn. — Two people died and six were injured in two separate shootings this weekend in St. Paul: One on Friday night in the West Side of St. Paul, outside the Wellstone Center, which houses El Rio Vista Recreation Center and the Neighborhood House; and one on Saturday evening in Frogtown, at Dale Street and University Avenue outside the Kings Crossing apartment building for low-income senior citizens.

On Wednesday, KARE 11 published the findings of a year-long investigation outlining the shocking and inhumane treatment of pregnant incarcerated women who were shackled while in labor. In response, Sen. Sandy Pappas issued the following statement.
