Senator Lindsey Port Celebrates ‘Vital’ Funding for Workforce Housing Program

ST. PAUL, Minn. — On Wednesday, Senator Lindsey Port (DFL-Burnsville) announced that the state’s Workforce Housing Development Program is open for applications, with $39 million to distribute to small communities in need. The new funding is made possible by the Senate DFL’s historic investment in housing in the 2023 session and will help small and mid-sized communities build rental housing for their growing workforces.
