ST. PAUL, Minn – Senator Dan Schoen, DFL- Cottage Grove, was sworn in on Tuesday at the newly-re- opened Minnesota State Capitol as the State Senator representing Senate District 54. Senator Dan Schoen was one of nine first-term DFL senators attending their first Senate swearing-in ceremony, but Schoen twice attended the same event as a member of the House of Representatives. Senator Dan Schoen says he is looking forward to getting to work.
“It is an honor and a privilege to be elected to the Senate,” said Sen. Dan Schoen. “It is an important position that very few people get to actually have. Being a police officer, the opportunity to serve my community while fulfilling my civic responsibility as senator means a lot to me. I look forward to working on getting PTSD treatment to Minnesota’s first responders, making college education affordable, and continuing to provide jobs for Minnesota’s citizens. I hope economic growth is priority number one for this session.”
