Senate DFL announces hearing on Paid Family and Medical Leave
March 26, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
On Friday, March 26, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. the Senate DFL will be hosting a remote hearing on legislation (Senate File 1205) presented by Senate DFL Leader Susan Kent that would provide Paid Family and Medical Leave benefits for Minnesota families. Paid Family and Medical Leave provides Minnesota workers up to 12 weeks of paid leave so they can care for a family member with a serious health condition or to bond with a newborn child. In Minnesota, we care about each other and our families and believe that Minnesotans should not have to choose between taking care of themselves or a loved one and a paycheck.
The public is invited to provide testimony at this hearing. Testimony may be limited, and written testimony is encouraged. Testifiers will have a 2-3 minute limit to speak. Members of the public who are interested in testifying may contact Isaac Russell at Isaac.Russell@senate.mn and must sign up at least 24 hours in advance.
