Senator Judy Seeberger

Senator Judy Seeberger was elected in 2022 to represent Senate District 41, which includes Cottage Grove, Hastings, Afton, Lake Elmo, Lakeland, Lakeland Shores, Lake St. Croix Beach, and St. Mary’s Point. She is Vice Chair of the Commerce and Consumer Protection Committee, and serves on the Agriculture, Broadband, and Rural Development Committee as well as the Judiciary and Public Safety Committee. She also serves on the Joint Legislative Commission on Pensions and Retirement She is a member of the Blue Dog Coalition.
When she’s not serving at the Legislature, Senator Seeberger works as a paramedic and has previously worked as a teacher and as an attorney.

Legislative Accomplishments
- Co-lead legislative efforts strengthening protections for manufactured home residents from exploitative practices.
- Authored bills addressing the crisis facing Emergency Medical Services in Minnesota, including critical reforms, emergency stabilization funding, and streamlined certification to bolster the workforce.
- Author legislation requiring safety training and apprenticeships for contract workers at Minnesota petroleum refineries.
- Protected consumers by authoring legislation capping high-interest rates on predatory payday loans.
- Was a leader in the passage of Amara’s law, which prohibited the use of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, in everyday consumer products, and established state water quality standards for PFAS.
- Secured over $72 million in the 2026 bonding bill including $45.172 million for the Hastings Veterans Home, $17.5 million for construction of the Hastings water treatment project to remove PFAS from the city’s drinking water, and $9.6 million to Cottage Grove for a critical road project at Highway 19A and 100th Street.
