Following a busy interim that included more than 40 visits to local school boards, city councils, county commissions, and soil and water conservation district boards throughout southeastern Minnesota, Senator Matt Schmit is continuing his efforts to stay in touch with constituents through a series of mobile office hours held across the district.
The “Mondays with Matt,” mobile office has resumed a schedule of stops throughout southeastern Minnesota including visits to Red Wing and Zumbrota on April 4. Rather than a town hall format that relies upon group discussions, the mobile office intends to promote individual conversations during which residents can share concerns, ask specific questions, or seek constituent service assistance from Senator Schmit and his office.
“We spend a lot of time attending meetings throughout our district or tending to constituent concerns from St. Paul, but the mobile office gives folks a chance to stop by and share their thoughts or seek assistance in person, no appointment necessary,” Senator Schmit said. “The mobile office has been a great success this year and over the past two years, and I really look forward to our upcoming events in Red Wing and Zumbrota.”
“Mondays with Matt,” will continue the following locations on April 4:
- 6 p.m.-7 p.m.: Caribou Coffee, 726 Main Street, Red Wing
- 7:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.: Covered Bridge Family Restaurant, 1439 Northstar Drive, Zumbrota
