Investing $3.95 million in the in the National Sports Center is an investment that will garner more than $13 million in economic development and jobs for our state! The National Sports Center is the world’s largest amateur sports complex with four million annual visitors. The total project will add 20 athletic fields for soccer, lacrosse and rugby. Currently, the sports center provides more than $44 million a year in economic impact to Minnesota. The field expansion will significantly increase that number to up to $57 million. That’s a great return for the state and I am hopeful the field expansion project will be included in the 2014 bonding bill.
