Protecting Reproductive Freedom in the 2022 Legislative Session

At the opening of the 2022 Legislative Session, the co-chairs of the Reproductive Freedom Caucus, Senators Mary Kunesh, Lindsey Port, Jen McEwen, and Representatives Jamie Becker-Finn, Kelly Morrison, and Athena Hollins, issued the following statement.

“With attacks on reproductive freedom occurring at every level across the country, the work to protect this fundamental right has never been more important. Right now, Minnesota is an island surrounded by states that have stripped access to reproductive health care, and there are legislators working to take these rights away here. We cannot afford to let that happen.

“These rights cannot be taken for granted, but must be fought for. That is why this caucus was formed, and this fight is one this caucus will not shy away from. We look forward to working in the 2022 Legislative Session to not only protect reproductive freedoms, but to expand them.”
