St. Paul, MN — Recently, the nonpartisan Office of the Legislative Auditor released a special review of the Optum Report. The House and Senate Human Services Leadership previously requested that the unredacted report be released to them. However, that request has yet to be fulfilled.
Representative Mohamud Noor (DFL – Minneapolis) Co-Chair of the House Human Services Committee and Senator John Hoffman (DFL-Champlin) Chair of the Senate Human Services Committee, released the following statement:
“The Legislature passed a law this year requiring the Department of Human Services to provide the Optum report to members of a legislative committee with jurisdiction over human services, upon a joint request from its chairs and ranking minority members – which Senate GOP-lead Jordan Rasmusson voted against. That request was made in May, via GOP House co-chair Rep. Schomacker and DFL Co-chair Rep. Noor, but we have yet to receive the unredacted report.
We are now renewing that request to DHS and hope they will fulfill it promptly. As we head into the 2027 legislative session it is critical that House and Senate chairs have the full knowledge and understanding of the Optum Report.”
