Rural Senate Democrats Host Press Conference, Twitter Town Hall on Broadband

160426 Broadband Twitter townhall 1920x1080St. Paul, MN—Two Senate DFL leaders on broadband expansion are set to host a press conference and a Twitter Town Hall on Wednesday, April 27. At 10:00am, Senators Lyle Koenen and Matt Schmit will be joined by Senate colleagues and statewide stakeholders as they speak with members of the press to update them on the ongoing discussions with House Republicans over the importance of broadband expansion in rural Minnesota.

Then at 11:00am, they will take questions from Minnesotans all around the state in a Twitter Town Hall. They will continue the discussion of high speed internet and its ability to promote economic growth in rural communities. All are encouraged to join in on the conversation.

The Twitter Town Hall will be hosted at @SenateDFL, and the Senators will sign off their tweets with –K or –S. Participants will also be able to find the conversation at the hashtag #BroadbandMN. Senator Schmit usually tweets from @MattSchmitMN, and Senator Koenen’s new twitter handle will be announced as part of the Twitter Town Hall.
