Sen. Hawj to Hold Listening Sessions through Month of September

ST. PAUL, Minn. – State Sen. Foung Hawj (DFL-St. Paul) will be ramping up meetings with constituents during the month of September. Hawj says he plans on walking the community and talking with constituents about issues that matter to them.

“For me, it’s important to keep an open line of communication with everyone in my district. Whether or not it’s an election season, elected officials will do a better job of representing the interests of their communities if they are continuously talking with constituents,” said Sen. Hawj.

Entering the third year of his first term as state senator, Hawj is hoping to get an even better grasp of the issues his constituents are facing. This will help him craft legislation he plans on introducing during the 2015 Legislative Session that begins in January. Hawj says district members should expect to see him in the community about once a week through the end of September. His first listening session will start this coming Saturday, Sept. 6.
