ST. PAUL, Minn. – Senator Kari Dziedzic (DFL – Minneapolis) received a Legislator of Distinction award from the League of Minnesota Cities for her work this past session.
The League of Minnesota Cities cited Sen. Dziedzic’s authorship of legislation that would restore Local Government Aid (LGA) to the 2003 pre-reduction level. They also acknowledged Sen Dziedzic’s efforts to build awareness on the need for aid for cities to deal with emerald ash borer.
“These two issues are examples of what the Legislature should be doing to help our local communities,” said Senator Dziedzic. “I was proud to work with the League on many issues during the 2017 session and look forward to continuing to work with the League next session.”
Sen. Kari Dziedzic represents District 60 in the Minnesota State Senate, serving 20 Minneapolis neighborhoods. She is DFL lead on the Agriculture & Housing Finance Committee and is also on the Environment Finance Committee, the Tax Committee, and the Legislative Citizen Commission for MN Resources (LCCMR).
