Senator Roger Reinert will hold the second of three town hall meetings tomorrow, Saturday, March 19th. The meeting will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 am in room 90 of Bohannon Hall on the UMD campus. Rep. Kerry Gauthier, Rep. Tom Huntley and Rep. Mary Murphy are also scheduled to participate.
The meeting is open to all constituents and will focus on the $5 billion budget deficit that must be addressed this legislative session. There will be a presentation on the Governor’s budget proposal and the February forecast, followed by an open conversation about priorities, concerns and solutions.
“Our Town Hall is open to anyone and everyone,” Sen. Reinert stated, “Minnesota citizens need to be a partner in the process of deciding what we want and how to pay for it.”
The Duluth legislative delegation will have one additional town hall meeting before the end of the session. The meetings have been spaced geographically across Duluth. The first was held at a west location, and the third will be centrally located.
