Sen. Terri Bonoff chosen as Assistant Leader of Senate DFL Caucus

Members of the Minnesota Senate DFL Caucus have elected Sen. Terri Bonoff to be their assistant caucus leader for the 87th Legislative Session. Sen. Bonoff will serve alongside Senate DFL Caucus Leader Tom Bakk.

Sen. Bonoff has served in the Minnesota Senate for six years. She was previously the vice-chair of the Senate’s E-12 Finance Division, and serves on the Governor’s Early Childhood Advisory Council. She has also provided a leadership role on government redesign efforts, authoring legislation to establish the Commission on Service Innovation, which recently issued a strategic plan aimed at lowering the cost and enhancing the quality of government services.

“I am honored to have the support of my colleagues in the Senate DFL Caucus, and look forward to working with Sen. Bakk, Gov. Dayton, and the Minnesota Legislature to make certain we emerge from this economic crisis with strength,” said Sen. Bonoff. “While we know we face many difficult decisions in the upcoming session, our caucus shares Gov. Dayton’s vision for growing jobs, improving government, and positioning Minnesota for long-term prosperity. We are ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work for the people of Minnesota.”
