Senate DFL Leader Susan Kent Responds to Governor’s Action to Extend Stay at Home Order

SAINT PAUL, MN— Today, Governor Tim Walz announced the extension of his executive order directing all Minnesotans to stay at home and limit movements outside their homes to only essential needs. The extension will be in effect from Friday, April 10 to Monday, May 4.

“Governor Walz continues to take firm and effective action to curb the spread of COVID-19 and that includes the decision to extend his stay at home order. Social distancing measures are proving to be effective in Minnesota and its continuation will save lives,” said Senate DFL Leader Susan Kent. “I’m grateful for his continued leadership in keeping Minnesotans safe. The Senate DFL will continue working in partnership with his administration and our colleagues in the legislature to overcome this public health emergency.”
