Today, after Senate and House Republicans proposed allowing all schools, places of worship, restaurants, and large venues to open with no COVID-19 safety requirements, Senator Susan Kent released the following statement:
“The fastest and most effective way we can continue reopening our schools and economy is by following social distancing and mask guidelines correctly and encouraging others to do the same, something Republicans consistently fail to do,” said Senate DFL Leader Susan Kent. “Amid rising COVID-19 cases in Minnesota, Republicans once again demonstrated their complete lack of a strong response plan to protect students, educators, and communities across the state. It’s clear they have no real legislative solutions to address the issues Minnesota families are facing and that are being exacerbated by COVID-19.”
