SAINT PAUL, MN— Today, the Minnesota Senate has announced a bipartisan COVID-19 Response Working Group. The working group will focus on the legislative response to COVID-19 and allow for public input, testimony, and feedback.
“As Minnesotans continue to advocate for critical supports amid the COVID-19 pandemic, this much-needed working group will ensure public input, feedback, and transparency as the legislature puts forth solutions,” said Senate DFL Leader Susan Kent. “Holding these hearings virtually also protects the health and safety of members, staff, and the public. Independent of the working group, we encourage the public to continue reaching out to their legislators with questions or concerns.”
Senate DFL members appointed to the working group include:
- Senate DFL Leader, Senator Susan Kent
- Health and Human Services Ranking Minority Member, Senator John Marty
- Jobs and Economic Growth Ranking Minority Member, Senator Bobby Joe Champion
- Finance Ranking Minority Member, Senator Richard Cohen
The first hearing will take place on Thursday, April 2.
